Develop project/programme documents and take lead for acquisition (and fundraising). Develop and guide operations of the RI working area, based on agreed strategies and ensurequality outputs and outcomes. Develop annual plans with the respective projects of the RI working area for technical andmanagement support needed by them. Link projects to external expertise where required and ensure the quality of these supportservices. Monitor developments in the RI area in <strong>Nepal</strong>, in the region and world-wide with regard tomethods, approaches, success stories, etc. and keep staff of the sector informed about thesedevelopments. Be a discussion partner and backstopper for all RI projects of <strong>Helvetas</strong> <strong>Nepal</strong>. Support programmes/projects in documenting their learnings. Establish and run a South-South Collaboration Unit and develop strategies to implementknowledge and skill sharing effectively. Strengthen conflict-sensitive project work in the sector, in particular, and <strong>Helvetas</strong> <strong>Nepal</strong> Country<strong>Programme</strong> (HNCP) in general.Networking and <strong>Coordination</strong> Represent <strong>Helvetas</strong> <strong>Nepal</strong>’s RI working area amongst donors and GoN. Maintain good relationships with GoN and donors and engage/ initiate dialogue processes onrelevant issues in the area. Actively network with the Head of the RI working area at <strong>Helvetas</strong> Head <strong>Office</strong> in Switzerland.

Conduct special financial reviews if requested by the CPD.7. Assist CPD, Deputy Country <strong>Programme</strong> Director (DCPD), HoF and TLs of <strong>Helvetas</strong><strong>Nepal</strong> to ensure compliances with policies, rules and regulations.8. Ascertain the reliability of financial and other information provided to <strong>Helvetas</strong> <strong>Nepal</strong>Management.9. Draw the attention of <strong>Helvetas</strong> <strong>Nepal</strong> Management to any apparently uneconomical orunsatisfactory results arising from decisions, practices or policies.10. Liaise with external auditors in carrying out their assignments and enhancing the level ofservice they provide to <strong>Helvetas</strong>.11. Provide advice on risk management; controlling and governance; value for money andrelated matters, subject to resource constraints and the need to maintain objectivity.12. Provide regular reports on audit findings to relevant managers (including the CPD) anddraw their attention to key issues and recommendations.1


13. Check payment vouchers, only in case of large payments, before the approval of theCPD.14. Conduct reviews/audits of <strong>Helvetas</strong>-funded partners’ accounts upon request by the CPD.15. Support and capacitate finance personnel of <strong>Helvetas</strong> projects and PO as per need.16.
