Message CentreAirbag SRS malfunction - REDThis message is displayed (together with thededicated warning light in the centre cluster ofthe instrument panel) to alert the driver of aSRS system failure. The icon appears with the message‘AIRBAG FAULT’ for 4 seconds, but is not displayed duringthe initial start-up procedure. If this warning appears, theairbag/SRS system will not be fully operational, seek qualifiedassistance urgently.Check engine - YELLOW (petrol models only)This warning icon is used to indicate faultsdetected by the engine management system. Ifan engine operation or emissions problemoccurs while the car is being driven, the icon is displayed withthe message ‘CHECK ENGINE’.If ‘Check engine’ illuminates, and the car drives normally:Contact your local dealer to arrange a service appointment atyour earliest convenience - YOU MAY STILL DRIVE THECAR.If ‘Check engine’ illuminates and the warning light alsoflashes (see ‘Warning lights’) and/or the car does not drivenormally: Avoid high speeds and seek immediate assistancefrom your dealer.Engine malfunction - YELLOW (diesel models only)This warning icon illuminates with themessage ‘CHECK ENGINE’ if an enginemalfunction is detected while driving. If thisoccurs, the car can still be driven, but engine power will bereduced. Drive with extra care (when overtaking, forexample) and seek qualified assistance as soon as possible.Traction control operation/malfunction - YELLOWThe warning illuminates for approximately 4seconds while traction control is operating andilluminates continuously while tractioncontrol is manually disabled. The icon is displayed with themessage ‘TRACTION CONTROL’. If the warning stayson, a fault with the system is indicated; seek qualifiedassistance.92
