Warning Lights2Warning LightsWARNING LIGHT POSITION AND OPERATION3 2 1 3H2791The standard instrument panel features two main clusters ofwarning lights, one situated in the centre of the pack (1) andthe other located at the upper centre of the instrument pack(2).On cars featuring a message centre, the message centre displayreplaces the upper cluster of warning lights (2) and is used todisplay relevant warnings (see ‘Message Centre’), trip <strong>com</strong>puterfunctions (see ‘Trip Computer’) and Navigator navigationsystem functions* (see separate book).The location of all other warning lights, including directionalindicators (3) and gauge positioned warning lights (low fuellevel and high engine coolant temperature), are the same forboth the standard instrument panel and the panel withmessage centre included.Direction indicators - GREENThe left and right direction indicators (3) arerepresented by directional arrows located at the topof the instrument panel. The warning lights flash in time withthe left or right direction indicator lights whenever they areoperating.If the hazard warning lights are operated, both warning lightswill flash together.If either warning light flashes very rapidly, this means that oneof the direction indicator lights is not operating.NOTE: Only failure of the front orrear directional indicator lightswill cause the warning lights toflash more rapidly than fornormal operation. Failure of aside repeater light will have noeffect on the warning light flashfrequency.79
