InstrumentsService interval displayThis shows the distance remaining before the next oil serviceor inspection is due. When the starter switch is initially turnedto the second position, the service type and remainingdistance are displayed for approximately four seconds, afterwhich the display reverts to show the odometer, trip recorderand external temperature readings.Three types of service information can be notified to thedriver:1. Distance until next oil service is due.2. Distance until next inspection is due.3. Brake fluid change is due (clock symbol).For detailed information about the service interval display,refer to ‘Routine servicing’ in the ‘Maintenance’ section.2NOTE: After the <strong>com</strong>pletion ofeach service, the dealer will resetthe distance display, to<strong>com</strong>mence the countdown to thenext service.Gear display (automatic transmission only)This shows the current gear lever position and transmissionmode. Sport mode is indicated by an ‘S’ and snow mode isindicated by a snowflake symbol. An automatic gearbox faultis indicated by the letters ‘EP’ (Emergency Programme)appearing.External temperature displayThis is displayed when the starter switch is in the first orsecond position (except during the initial four secondwarm-up period). The external temperature mode can beswitched between °C or °F by waiting until the car isstationary and then pressing and holding the trip recorderreset button while, turning the starter switch off at the sametime.DO NOT alter the externaltemperature readingwhile driving - the starter switchmust NEVER be turned off whilethe car is in motion.<strong>75</strong>
