Bulb ReplacementFront fog lightReplacement bulb: H1 55 watt.4H2789Pull the inboard side of the fog light surround away from thefront of the car - see illustration (gentle leverage using aflat-bladed screwdriver behind the surround may benecessary).Remove the three retaining screws and pull the light unitforward away from the bumper. Twist the bulb holder aneighth of a turn anti-clockwise to release it from the rear ofthe light unit. Holding only the metal part of the bulb, pull toremove it from the bulb holder.When replacing the bulb, note that the circular flange has aflat on one side. The flat must align with the lug on thematching face of the bulb holder. Similarly, note the threetabs on the perimeter of the bulb holder (one small and twolarge); correct alignment of the tabs will ensure the holder isreplaced the right way round.Operating tip: It may benecessary to insert the blade of asmall screwdriver under themetal flange at the base of thebulb, and use as a lever toseparate the bulb from theholder.Care point: If the glass has beenscratched, or contaminated withoil or perspiration, the bulb mayshatter in use. DO NOT touch theglass. If handled, clean withmethylated spirits and a cleancloth.183
