The fronttowing eye is stored in the tool kit beneath the boot floorwhen not in use.To fit the front towing eye, first remove the square cover setinto the front bumper by pressing firmly on the bottom leftcorner, and then screw the towing eye into its mountingbehind the bumper (see illustration).Ensure the towing eye is fully tightened! Both towing pointsare intended for use by qualified recovery specialists to assistin the recovery of your car should a breakdown or accidentoccur. They are not designed for towing other vehicles, andmust NEVER be used to tow a trailer or caravan.Operating tip: The front towingeye cover may be secured to thebumper by a plastic cord. If this isnot the case, store the cover inthe glove box where it will not belost.DO NOT use a tow ropethat is twisted - anyuntwisting force could unscrewthe front towing eye.171
