DO NOT aimwater jets directly at<strong>com</strong>ponents that might beeasily damaged.H2669In order to preserve the paint finish on your car, pleaseobserve the following care points:• DO NOT use hot water to wash the car.• DO NOT use detergents or washing up liquid.• In hot weather, DO NOT wash the car in direct sunlight.• When using a hose, DO NOT aim the water directly atwindow, door or sunroof seals, or through wheel aperturesonto the brake <strong>com</strong>ponents.If the car is particularly dirty, use a hose to flush grime and gritfrom the bodywork, prior to washing. Then, wash the carusing cold or lukewarm water containing a good quality washand wax shampoo. Always use plenty of water to ensure thatgrit is flushed from the surface and not ground into thepaintwork. After washing, rinse the bodywork with cleanwater and dry off with a chamois leather.Cleaning the undersideFrom time to time, but particularly during winter monthswhen salt has been used on the roads, use a hose to wash theunderside of the car. Flush away accumulations of mud andthoroughly clean those areas where debris can easily collect(wheel arches and panel seams, for example).DO NOT use a highpressure hose to clean theengine <strong>com</strong>partment - damageto the car’s electronic systemsmay occur.159
