This is particularlyuseful for motorway cruising, or for any journey where aconstant speed can be maintained for a lengthy period.Operating tip: Use of ‘sport’mode on automatic gearboxvehicles is not re<strong>com</strong>mendedwhen cruise control is selected.The following precautions must be observed whenusing cruise control:• DO NOT attempt to use cruise control when usingreverse gear.• DO NOT use cruise control on winding or slippery roadsurfaces, or in traffic conditions where a constant speedcannot easily be maintained.• On petrol engine vehicles, DO NOT rest your foot underthe accelerator pedal while cruise control is engaged - yourfoot could be<strong>com</strong>e trapped.• ALWAYS switch off the master switch when you nolonger intend to use cruise control.123
