Lights & Indicators2HEADLIGHT BEAM HEIGHT ADJUSTERH2715The angle of the dipped beams is affected by the distributionof passenger and luggage weight within the car. It is importantthat the headlights are adjusted to ensure that the point atwhich they meet the road surface provides adequateillumination ahead of the vehicle, without dazzling other roadusers.Using the following load conditions as a guide, adjust theheadlights by rotating the adjuster wheel (see inset):• Position ‘0’Driver only, or driver plus a front seat passenger.• Position ‘1’Up to all the seats occupied plus an evenly distributed loadin the boot.• Position ‘2’Driver only, plus an evenly distributed load in the boot.These loading definitions assume that all loads will be withinthe limits of the maximum permissible axle and vehicleweights119
