Theuniverse seems to ebb and flowwith a life and purpose but whenall is said and done there remainsan equilibrium, a balance that cannot be disrupted. We casually tossa coin to make minor decisions inour lives because the singleinstance is unpredictable but anycasino will tell you that when youtoss the coin enough, there isreally only one result, a clear andundeniable equilibrium, fifty-fiftyas we might say. And so, theuniverse self regulates its ownequilibrium, it does not care thata wild fire will destroy a village asmuch as it does not care that therains will yield a bountiful crop.So, we are here in the middle ofthis indifferent universe, trying tomake sense of each instance as itappears, not realising that we aretoo close to the canvas to see thepainting. We lament ourdifficulties, we avoid pain, we seekhappiness and we try to make adifference. But whats the point,right? We are a part of theuniverse just as much as thegalaxies, the stars, even the paperthat you are reading. And everynew dog who comes into my life'gifts' me with a piece of theirheart. If I live long enough, allthe components of my heart willbe dog, & I will become asgenerous & loving as they are.K.L.W.care and despite what each of usmay think about one and other,we all care.I can guess what you may bethinking, "All of us are not caring,caring is not in the nature of manypeople in this world. We havewars, we have poverty and thereare great atrocities that havebeen, and continue to becommitted every day". It is easyto say "There are 'us' the caringpeople, and there are 'them' thepeople who don't care", but thisis the real deception. Why?Because despite our differences,we are all cut from the same cloth,we all care. Some of us care aboutthe environment and the legacywe leave to future generations,some of us care for our currentwell being and that of our lovedones. Yet we bicker and we fightbecause we want the otherperson to care about the thingswe care about, because what wecare about is the 'right' thing tocare about, and obviously theother person is wrong. We argueabout how what we care about ismore important than what theycare about, how it is so muchbetter, about righteousness andwhats best for everyone. Andthen, sometimes we falter andloose sight of the big picture.So, what is the point of all thisthen? It's simple, there is no 'Right"and 'Wrong', no 'Good' and 'Evil',there is only indifference. Hold onthough, its not time to suddenlygo and rob a bank, there is moreto the story. There is one instance,only one in the entire universe,where the idea of right and wrongexists. It's inside you, you own itand it is your responsibility tomaintain, no one Else's. Thatmakes it unique, it makes itspecial, it is your gift and yoursalone. So, how do you convince
