Capri 25 & Catalina 25/250National<strong>Regatta</strong>Notice of RaceCapri 25 – Catalina 25/250 National <strong>Regatta</strong> September 9 - 11th, 2011Lake Minnetonka - <strong>Wayzata</strong> <strong>Yacht</strong> <strong>Club</strong> - <strong>Wayzata</strong>, MNYou and your crew are invited to the 2011 National <strong>Regatta</strong>, sailed on beautiful Lake Minnetonka. The facilities of the <strong>Wayzata</strong><strong>Yacht</strong> <strong>Club</strong> offer free crane use for put-in and take-out. Hosted by the Capri 25 fleet of the <strong>Wayzata</strong> <strong>Yacht</strong> <strong>Club</strong>, known for itscompetitive sailing and social activities.Rules· The <strong>Wayzata</strong> <strong>Yacht</strong> <strong>Club</strong> is the Organizing Authority.· The races will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2009-2012, except as modified bythe Sailing Instructions and any amendments thereto.· Each fleet shall employ all class rules, except as specifically modified by the Sailing Instructions. The Sailing Instructions willtake precedence in case of conflict.· Crew count declarations, identifying the total crew count for each day of racing, shall be submitted at registration.EligibilityThis regatta is open to all boats of the Capri 25, Catalina 25 and Catalina 250 classes that:· meet the measurement criteria of their class.· are covered by paid up marine liability insurance of at least $300,000.· have at least one member of their crew as a paid member of the International Association in accordance with its bylaws andconstitution.ClassificationAll skippers and crew will comply with ISAF Group 1 Sailor Classification Code (See Rule 79 RRS.)Measurement WaiversMeasurement waivers may be granted to participants that complete and submit a waiver form prior to the close of registration. Ifgranted, a waiver may include a PHRF adjustment. Measurement Waiver Forms are available on the web site and will also beavailable at registration.Entry Forms and FeesEntry forms are available online at http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/racing/racing.asp . The entry fee is $175 if paid by August 1,2011. After August 1, fee will be $200.00. Please consult web site for additional details of what is included with the regatta fee.ScoringThe Low Point scoring system, RRS Appendix A, will be used. One race is required to be completed to constitute a series. If fiveor more races are completed, each yacht’s worst score will be excluded.Sailing InstructionsThe Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.Racing FleetsWhile the desire is to race each class in separate fleets, a minimum of three eligible boats will be required to establish a fleet. If aclass has less than three participants then a combined fleet will be created using PHRF ratings.TrophiesTrophies will be awarded for each fleet based on participation:· 1 st Place trophy (three participants)· 1 st , 2 nd Place trophies (five participants)· 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd Place trophies (seven participants)· 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th Place trophies (nine participants)· 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th , 5 th Place trophies (eleven or more participants)DisclaimerCompetitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. (See rule 4, Decision to Race.)
