Copeland Scroll ®Condensing Unitsfor theIndustrial Market...with Best In Class Emerson ®System Protection Components• High and Medium TemperatureRefrigeration Applications• R-134a and R-404A• 1 to 10 Hp

Reliable equipment andlower energy costs are atthe top of the list of needsfor the industrial operators.By combining the provenreliability and efficiencyof Copeland Scroll ®Compressors with theexisting benefits of theEmerson ® condensing units, these needs can be met.Scroll Condensing Unitsare available for high andmedium-temperatureindustrial refrigerationapplications. Thecondensing units areoptimized to work withHFC refrigerants, R-404Aand/or R-134a, reliablealternatives to HCFC R22.Additionally, these unitsfeature other EmersonClimate Technologiesproducts, such as theEK Filter Drier, HermeticMoisture Indicator, andRefrigeration SolenoidValves.ScrollBest In Class Products...Copeland Scroll ®Refrigeration CompressorsTime Tested Performance.Unequalled Reliqbility.Copeland Scroll ® refrigeration compressors aredesigned and built exclusively for refrigerationapplications, ranging from 1 to 50 HP.ReliabilityCopeland Scroll compressors patented scrolldesign has superior liquid handling capabilityand require no tip seals that wear out.EfficiencyScroll compressors achieve high efficienciesdue, in part, to near 100% volumetric efficiency during the compression process. The scroll operates under continuous flank contact, maintained by centrifugalforce, which minimizes leakage and maximizes efficiency.SizeThe small footprint and vertical orientation reduce square footage required. It is light, compact, and on average it is 50% smaller than the Copeland ® brandsemi-hermetic compressor.SoundCopeland Scroll compressors function with fewer moving parts and no dischargeor intake valves. The scroll design allows several pockets of gas to be compressedsimultaneously, providing a smooth, nearly continuous compression cycle. Thisallows our scroll compressor to operate more smoothly and quietly, with less variation.

Condensing UnitsHermetic Moisture IndicatorEarlier System Warnings. Better System ProtectionThe HMI's patented water dial uses a three-step gauge to detectmoisture at 3% relative humidity (RH), which gives you plenty oftime to make adjustments before any damage is done. Ordinaryindicators use a two-step paper gauge that only detects moistureat 10% RH - a level that is more than enough for corrosive acidsto build and destroy a system. The HMI is available with both ODF (sweat) and SAE (flare) connections, and isthe only moisture indicator UL - approved to 680 psig. Even as your customers'undergo mandated changes over the next few years, the HMI you install todaywill work with the refrigerants of tomorrow.Compare HMI’s Features to the RestFEATURES EMERSON HMI SPORLAN SA PARKER PSG DANFOSS SGISEAL TYPE BRAZED KNIFE EDGE SEAL O-RING TEFLON SEALVIEWING LENS DIAMETER 0.95”RELATIVE HUMIDITYSENSING WAFER0.687” < 1/2”0.953 > 1/2”-.75”0.50” < 1/2”0.85” > 1/2”3% 10% 10% 10%ALL COPPER FITTINGS YES NO YES YESSWIVEL-NUT CONNECTIONS YES YES NO NOALL BRASS BODY YES PAINTED STEEL BODY YES YESMAXIMUM TEMPERATURE AT450°FWHICH ELEMENT IS DAMAGED350°F 350°F 350°FWHEN BRAZINGMAXIMUM WORKINGPRESSURE680 PSIG 650 PSIG 500 PSIG 500 PSIGPLASTIC CAP COVER YES YES NO NOHeightLengthWidth

Refrigerant Solenoid ValvesPerformance Equals Peace of MindThe Emerson Climate Technologies solenoid valve not only meetsthe industry standard, it also sets a newbenchmark for minimizing or eliminatingexternal refrigerant leak rates.During normal operation, solenoid valves canexperience wide temperature swings. Overtime, these temperature changes decreasethe effectiveness of the competition'sgaskets. The longer the valve has beeninstalled, the higher the leakage rate. Emerson's new gaskettechnology minimizes leakage over the life of the valve, keeping leaks well below the industry's allowable level.Feature Function Benefit100% factory tested for bothexternal and internal leaksBrass and copper body constructionStainless steel enclosing tubeNew gasket technologyManual override stem optionHot gas capability on all modelsAvailable in ODF, SAEand extended endsUL/CSA certificationSingle coil family for allmodels and applicationsReduces refrigerant leaksand maintenanceProvides superior corrosionresistance over painted cast ironProvides superior corrosion and wearresistance over painted steel and brassProvides a non-porous, high-integrity seal thatcan be replaced for “new-valve” performanceValve can be manually opened duringsystem start-up and serviceEach design platform is suitablefor wide temperature rangesOffers a full range of connectionsConforms to internationallyrecognized safety requirementsMinimizes stocking requirementsImproved quality and fewer call backsProlongs valve life andensures serviceabilityIncreases reliabilityand extends valve lifeZero leaks for trouble-freeperformance and maintenanceReduces service time andsimplifies troubleshootingOffers maximum application versatility withone valve size used on all applicationsThe right connections are available for each jobwithout the need for adapter fittingsAssures the designs are safeThe right coil size is alwaysavailable for quick service

The Extra Klean (EK) Filter DrierSuperior Production for Greater Refrigeration ProtectionThe EK Filter Drier provides measurably superior filtrationof contaminants, drying of the refrigerant and removalof acids versus any other filter drier on the market. The difference is that HFC systems with syntheticpolyolester (POE) oils are protected from contaminantsby the unique beaded desiccants. POE absorbs up to20 times more moisture than ordinary mineral oils.HFC/POE systems protected by the EK in turn haveless corrosion.S P E C I F I C A T I O N SDesiccant blend — 75% molecular sieve and 25% activated aluminaAbsolute filtration — 20 micronsMaximum working pressure — 680 psig, UL file number — SA 3124SUPERIOR MAXIMUM WORKING PRESSURE690Maximum Working Pressure (psig)680670660650640630620610600590Emerson Competitor 1 Competitor 2Competitor 3Manufacturer
