The cash drawerwill open. The amount received adds to the cash-in-drawer total.Used to return or refund merchandise. Returning an item will also returnany tax, which may have been applied.Use to make weight entries. When a scale is attached, press the scale key toshow the weight in the display, then press (or enter) a PLU to multiple theweight times the price. When a scale is not attached, you can enter the weight(using the decimal key for fractions). PLUs may be programmed to require anentry through the scale key.Use to temporarily finalize Previous Balance or Table tracking transactions.Displays subtotal of sale including tax. Must be pressed prior to a salediscount or sale surcharge.Tracks the current balance for a guest check or table.Press the TAX EXEMPT key to exempt tax 1, tax 2, tax 3, and/or tax 4 fromthe entire sale.When pressed before a PLU entry, the tax shift keys reverse the tax status ofthe PLU, i.e., a PLU with non-tax status would become taxable or a PLU withtax status would become non-taxable.Use to combine individual trays (in a cafeteria situation) that will be paidtogether. Each tray subtotal entry will advance the consecutive number.Use to correct an item entered earlier within a sale. The VOID key correctsthe appropriate totals and counters. To correct the last item, use the ERRORCORR key. For void operations outside of a sale (Transaction Void), use theVOID position on the control lock. The Financial report records totals foreach type of void separately.Press the VALID key to print a one-line validation on a separate form or pieceof paper. Any item registration, discount or payment may be validated. Ifvalidation is required after a particular function, the message "SP" will appearon the front display.The WASTE key allows control of inventory by accounting for items thatmust be removed from stock due to spoilage, breakage or mistakes. Press theWASTE key before entering wasted items, then press the WASTE key againto finalize. The WASTE key may be under manager control, requiring thecontrol lock to be in the X position.
