Scale Tare Weight ProgrammingA tare is the amount of weight accounted for by the container or packaging. By entering a tare weight(as required by law in some areas) the weight of the container is subtracted and only the true weightof the product is measured on the scale. If you are using an optional scale you can pre-program up tofour standard tare weights. Tare #5 is reserved for manually entering tare weights. By using a tare,you automatically subtract the container weight when a product is on the scale.1. Turn the control lock to the P position.2. To begin the program, enter 1 1 0 0, press the SBTL key.1100 SBTL3. Enter the number (1-4) of the tare you wish to program; press the X/TIME key.X/TIME4. Enter the weight of the tare (one digit preceding the decimal key, the decimal key, thenthree digits after the decimal key). Press the SBTL key..SBTL5. Drawer Limit ProgrammingYou can set the total amount of cash and checks allowed to be in cash drawer at one time. (When thelimit is equaled or exceeded, the error tone will sound at the completion of each transaction. You canclear the error to continue operations, or you can use the Paid Out function to remove enough cash orchecks to reduce the drawer total below the limit set here.)Programming the Drawer Limit1. Turn the control lock to the P position.2. To begin the program, enter 1 2 0 0, press the SBTL key.1200 SBTL3. Enter a drawer limit (up to 8 digits or 0 for no limit); press the X/TIME key.Enter the drawerlimit, up to 8digitsX/TIME4. Press the CASH key to finalize the program.CASHMachine Number ProgrammingYou can set a machine number to print on the receipt and journal paper. If you have multipleregisters or stores, use this number to identify the machine where the transaction took place.Programming the Machine Number1. Turn the control lock to the P position.2.
