O ετήσιος αυτόςαγώνας υπεραποστάσεων συγκεντρώνει αθλητές από όλο τον κόσμο,για τους οποίους η συμμετοχή και μόνο είναι πρόκληση, εφόσον τομόνο έπαθλο είναι η ηθική ικανοποίηση του νικητή.Το Ίδρυμα «Σταύρος Νιάρχος» υποστηρίζει για πολλά χρόνια το«Σπάρταθλον» ως αποκλειστικός δωρητής. Η ιδέα του «ευ αγωνίζεσθαι»,η σύνδεση των αθλητών με τη φύση, μέσα από τη διαδρομή, το πνεύματης άμιλλας και η διαδικασία του γνώθι σαυτόν, που οι συμμετέχοντεςβιώνουν κατά τη διάρκεια του αγώνα, αποτελούν το ηθικό έναυσμα πουέχει ωθήσει το Ίδρυμα στην υποστήριξη του αγώνα, τα τελευταία χρόνια.www.spartathlon.grTo solely support the annual ultra-marathon race Spartathlon in 2011,2012 and 2013.The annual 246 kilometer race between Sparta and Athens is basedon Herodotus' s description of the course, followed by the ancientrunner Phidippides. The annual Spartathlon ultra-distance race bringstogether athletes from around the world. For most of them the challengeis just participating, since the only prize is the winner’s moralsatisfaction.The Stavros Niarchos Foundation has been Spartathlon’s sole supporterfor several years. Το νέο,πλήρως προσβάσιμο, κτίριο μπορεί να υποδεχθεί ένα πιο ευρύ κοινό,συμπεριλαμβανομένων ατόμων με ειδικές ανάγκες, βοηθώντας τουςνα ανακαλύψουν νέες υπαίθριες και κοινωνικές δραστηριότητες.Το Royal Parks Foundation αποσκοπεί στην προστασία και τη συντήρησητων οκτώ Βασιλικών Πάρκων του Λονδίνου, καθώς και στην προσέγγισητου κοινού, καθιστώντας τα μέρος της ζωής του.
