As well, our wide range of standard <strong>Gate</strong> Valve models canalso be equipped with single or double-acting hydraulic and pneumaticactuators with manual override, fail-safe closed or open systems to meet yourrequirements. Crown <strong>Gate</strong> <strong>Valves</strong> are available for all types of applicationsincluding <strong>Wellhead</strong>, Christmas Tree, ESD, and Choke and Kill Manifoldsystems.Crown <strong>Gate</strong> <strong>Valves</strong> incorporate 3 main gate designs:SOLID SLAB GATEThis design is made for demanding choke and killmanifold applications and for use as a safety shut-offvalve operated by an hydraulic or pneumatic actuator.It incorporates a bi-directional design with a floatinggate which moves parallel to the seats and effects atight seal under differential line pressure. Abackseating feature allows the stem bearing orpacking to be reenergized or replaced underpressure.PARALLEL EXPANDING GATEExpanding gates give an extraordinarily highmechanical seating seal force which actssimultaneously against both seats. The seating forceis not affected by line pressure fluctuations orvibrations.SPLIT GATEFeatures a metal-to-metal seal between the gate andseat. It is enhanced by a sealing compound that fills agroove around the seat bore to prevent leaks. Theparallel non-wedging gates allow the stem to be leftnon-stressed in either the opened or closedcondition. Fully-skirted seats provide a continuousprotection of the sealing surfaces of the gates. Abackseating feature also allows reenergizing orreplacement of the stem bearing or packing underpressure.
