Now, a school district canmake a district-wide announcement or page employeesacross a campus more efficiently. They can even pageremote school locations located thousands of miles away(e.g., universities with overseas campuses). The BogenMC2K IP Administrative Communication System isdesigned specifically for the needs of schools, and otherinstitutional and industrial facilities. It combines privatetelephone communication with a full-featured sound andprogram distribution system, including media control. It also provides master clock control, an all-call feature, anda feature for dialing the outside 911 Emergency Services forincreased security and quick response. The wall-mounted version canaccommodate up to 120 stations in increments of 24. Therack version can provide up to 240 stations and can includeadditional amplification and/or Bogen Multicom 2000 orMulti-Graphic system components and available options forincreased versatility.A unique card frame design eliminates external amplificationequipment for basic systems. A single microprocessorcard controls overall system function. For each 24 stations,a circuit card pair provides signal routing and a 20-wattprogram amplifier and 12-watt intercom amplifier. An associatedrelay module connects each station to the intercomor program bus. The system permits up to 8 simultaneousintercom communications with staff station loudspeakersand 8 unrestricted telephone communications, with simultaneousdistribution of program material to stations notinvolved in a two-way conversation. The system software supports these basic station types:Staff consisting of loudspeaker with call in and optionalhandset; Enhanced Staff with a DTMF dialing telephone setand optional loudspeaker; Administrative or EnhancedAdministrative with DTMF dialing display telephone (andoptional loudspeaker), and a Media Control Box; or anycombination of the above. Each type of station can be furtherorganized into levels, which determine the ability toperform different system functions. Staff and enhanced staffstations can make emergency calls that can activate anemergency announce link if the call is unanswered. Systemfunctions include 8 administrative page zones, 240 hardwiredpage zones, options for 99 programmable pagezones, 8 time zones with 8 bell schedules, and 1024 timedevents.A unique modular program source interface offers a choiceof three program sources (e.g., microphone, tuner, etc.).The selection of the program source and its distribution toany or all stations or zones is guided by the menu displayon a designated administrative telephone. Any stationequipped with a keypad dialing phone can turn programmaterial on or off at their location.Telephonic features include call forwarding, call transferand conference calling, as well as selective ability to bumpor join conversations in progress.
