Performing the Installation 21As a software group is selected on the left, software sets are displayed on the right withcheck boxes next to each name. Click the check box next to the software sets to install inaddition to the software selected by default. As software sets on the right are selected, abrief description is shown on the bottom of the screen. If the software set selectedcontains optional packages, the Optional packages button on the bottom right of thescreen is active and can be clicked to further customize the individual software packagesinstalled for the software set.1The software groups shown on the left side vary slightly depending on the installationnumber entered at the beginning of the process. For example, if an installation number toinclude virtualization is used, the Virtualization software group is shown in Figure 1.8.FIGURE 1.8Virtualization Software GroupAfter additional software is selected, the installation program checks for software dependencies.A software dependency is an RPM package that must be installed for the RPMpackage you selected to work properly. As the software is installed, the progress is shownas a time estimate and a progress bar (see Figure 1.9). If you are performing a CD installation,a popup window is displayed when the next CD is needed.When all the necessary files are installed and all post-installation actions such as writingthe bootloader are complete, Figure 1.10 is displayed. After the system is rebooted, theSetup Agent is automatically started. Refer to Chapter 2, “Post-InstallationConfiguration,” for details on the Setup Agent.
