Configuring BIND 343. masters: List a set of master name servers to use for stub and slave zones.masters port { port key };When declaring a master server for a stub or slave server, the port numbers and keysare optional. The IP address of the master server is the only required component.. options: The options statement can be used to set global options for the server anddefaults for other statements. Options include additional servers to query if theserver doesn’t have the data, zone transfer settings, settings to limit system resourcesfor the name server, and time-to-live values. Refer to the “BIND 9 AdministratorReference Manual” included with the bind package in the /usr/share/doc/bind-/arm/Bv9ARM.pdf file for a complete list of global options.options {};. server: Set properties of a remote name server. These statements can be top-levelstatements or inside view statements. The bogus statement should be set to yes orno, with yes meaning that queries should not be sent to it. If the local server is amaster name server, set provide-ixfr to yes to allow incremental transfers to thisserver. If the local server is a slave and the remote server is a master, set requestixfrto yes to request incremental transfers from the remote master server.16Set ends to yes to allow the local server to use EDNS (an extension of DNS) whencommunicating with the remote server. Set transfer-format to one-answer ormany-answers to control how many DNS messages per resource record are transferredat one time. The many-answers option is only supported by some versions ofBIND. Set transfers to the maximum number of simultaneous inbound zone transfersallowed.
