OEMV ® -2FeaturesL1 and L2GPS+GLONASSNovAtel ® ’s OEMV-2 is a dual frequency board featuring GPS+GLONASS positioning,NovAtel’s AdVance TM RTK and use of the L2C signal in a small, low-power card.AdVance RTKGPS modernized signalsApplication ProgrammingInterface (API) optionBenefitsImproved positionavailability in challenging orlimited visibilityenvironmentsRobust and reliable RTKperformanceEnsures future compatibility asmore satellites are availableReduces system hardware byusing the receiver’s processor andmemory to run a user application, resulting in reduced developmentcosts and faster time to marketEase of IntegrationThe OEMV-2 receiver is a drop-in replacement for the OEM4-G2L. Featuring the same commands andlogs, this board is designed to be backwards compatible, meaning fewer upgrades and faster time tomarket. In addition to providing superior performance, the OEMV-2 card consumes less power thanprevious generation cards and is compliant with the European Union’s Restriction of HazardousSubstance (RoHS) directive, eliminating the need for future hardware changes.GLONASSThe OEMV Family of GNSS receivers offer GPS+GLONASS positions and measurements in realtime. The GLONASS measurements are used in combination with GPS to provide more satellitesfor positioning in challenging environments. The OEMV-1G, OEMV-2 and OEMV-3 receivers andtheir enclosures are all configurable as either GPS only or GPS+GLONASS. The addition ofGLONASS satellites to the positioning solution enables users to work more often and increasesavailability of a position in obstructed sky conditions.GPS ModernizationNovAtel’s OEMV-2 provides the user with performance and flexibility. Capable of tracking thenew L2 civil signal, it provides stronger signal tracking and better cross correlationprotection. Not only is the L2C signal better for low signal strength applications, but alsohaving access to multiple signals allows users to select the one that is best suited to theirneeds.Flexible PerformanceWhen used for higher accuracy applications, the OEMV-2 RT-2 ® solution canprovide real-time centimetre-level positions at an update rate of up to 50 Hz,using NovAtel’s AdVance RTK technology. For pass-to-pass applicationsthat require smooth positions, NovAtel’s new GL1DE technologyprovides decimetre relative accuracy.
