He has many years of experienceincluding general management, mergerand acquisition transactions, valuations,strategy and planning work, finance,business initiation and banking. He hasworked in several countries and holdsboth British and Australian citizenship.He graduated from Newcastle uponTyne University in England, majoringin Economics and Accounting. NOP VANTHYBoard Member, and VFIproduct director(based in kenya)Mr. Caringal , a Filipino citizen, hasbeen working in the microenterprise/microfinance sector for more than20 years, in areas such as organizationmanagement, product and servicesdevelopment, human resourcedevelopment, management informationsystems, fisheries, indigenous peoples,urban poor development, and reliefand emergency programming. Prior totaking up his current position as ProductDirector of VisionFund International(VFI), Mr. Caringal was serving as theRegional Director of VFI for the AsiaPacific Region. He also sits on the boardof several MFIs and non-profit NGOs inAsia. and is on the board of several MFIsand non-profit NGOs in Asia.EXECUTIVE ADVISOR OF WORLDVISION CAMBODIAA Cambodian citizen, Ms. Vanthy joinedVisionFund Cambodia in 2004 withmore than 16 years of work experiencein community development with achild focus approach, including workingfor a street children program. Shealso has experience in operations andstaff management, urban development,agriculture and health development,administration, human resource,and program design/monitoring andevaluation.. She had also served asBoard and Executive Committeemembers for several NGOs.
