Xinhe areaXinhe Jiayuan is a residential development in the west of Guangwai Jiedao and is surrounded by four streets: ChamaBeijie, Malianidao Lu, Chama Jie and Chayuan Lu. The full-day on street survey shows high rates of illegal <strong>parking</strong> onstreets, sidewalks and setbacks, and high <strong>parking</strong> demand on the setback outside the building on the east and southside where <strong>parking</strong> is formalized. Parking demand fluctuates throughout the day with the peak demand at 3.30pm. The survey also finds out that 61% of the cars park for less than 2 hours andthe average <strong>parking</strong> duration is 2.51 hours, which indicates that most of the cars <strong>parking</strong> here are for short-term<strong>parking</strong>.
