6. PREPARATION TIMEPRODUCTION STAFF shall be engaged for not less than one (1) week (six workingdays and one Free Day), compensated at the applicable rate, prior to the first scheduledPRINCIPAL ARTIST rehearsal or CHORUS staging rehearsal, or Dancer rehearsal whichevercomes first. If MANAGEMENT wishes to reduce preparation time to less than one (1) week, itmay only be done upon mutual agreement between MANAGEMENT, the ARTIST and AGMA.7. FREE DAYa. The term “FREE DAY” shall mean a period <strong>of</strong> time commencing atmidnight and ending at 9:00 a. m. the morning <strong>of</strong> the second day, during which no ARTIST’SServices and/or travel shall be required. Regardless <strong>of</strong> the number <strong>of</strong> contracts for whichARTIST is engaged, s/he shall not be required to render any ARTIST’S services and /or travelfor more than a total <strong>of</strong> ten (10) consecutive days without a FREE DAY. The eleventhconsecutive day must be a FREE DAY for PRODUCTION STAFF. If any PRODUCTIONSTAFF member is required to work eleven or more consecutive days, the eleventh day and eachconsecutive day until the next FREE DAY shall be compensated at one-sixth (1/6) <strong>of</strong> the weeklysalary in addition to the regular salary. The total number <strong>of</strong> delineated FREE DAYS for aPRODUCTION STAFF Member will be equal to the number <strong>of</strong> weeks in the Individual Artist<strong>Contract</strong> (one (1) FREE DAY per seven (7) day week).b. By Wednesday <strong>of</strong> any given rehearsal week, MANAGEMENT shallpost a notice <strong>of</strong> the designated FREE DAY for PRODUCTION STAFF for the next week.8. OVERTIMEa. After 60 hours <strong>of</strong> work in any week or 10 hours <strong>of</strong> work in any day,PRODUCTION STAFF shall be compensated at the PRINCIPAL overtime rate, to be calculatedin quarter hour increments:As <strong>of</strong>7/1/10As <strong>of</strong>7/1/11As <strong>of</strong>7/1/12Principal OvertimeRate$43.75 $43.75 44.65b. Actual lunch and dinner breaks are not included in the 60 hourweek/10 hour day described above. Lunch and dinner breaks shall be a minimum <strong>of</strong> one (1) houruninterrupted duration. In the event less than one (1) hour meal breaks are given,MANAGEMENT will provide a meal and beverage <strong>of</strong> nutritional value. In the event less than a25COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTJuly 1, <strong>2010</strong> through June 30, <strong>2013</strong>
