Performing PRINCIPAL ARTISTS engaged by MANAGEMENT on a perperformance basis may be required to rehearse without compensation not more than three (3)hours prior to each specific single performance <strong>of</strong> an opera production for which s/he is engaged.In no event may a PRINCIPAL ARTIST rehearse more than a total <strong>of</strong> six (6) uncompensatedhours per opera production. All additional hours <strong>of</strong> rehearsal shall be paid at the overtime rateindicated in Article XXVI.E.5. below.Weeks3. Rehearsals for Performing PRINCIPAL ARTISTS during RehearsalPerforming PRINCIPAL ARTISTS may rehearse no more than thirty (30) hoursper week nor more than six (6) hours per day during a six day rehearsal week. If the weekly ordaily hourly limitations for rehearsal are exceeded, excess hours shall be paid at the overtime rateindicated in Article XXVI.E.5. below. No overtime payment is applicable if costume fittingstake place during seventh daily hour.4. General Rehearsal Provisionsa. No rehearsal shall end later than 11:30 P.M. except dressrehearsals, which may last until 12:30 A.M.b. MANAGEMENT will provide each performing PRINCIPALARTIST with one FREE DAY per week, regardless <strong>of</strong> the number <strong>of</strong> contracts for which suchARTIST is employed. By Wednesday <strong>of</strong> any given rehearsal week, MANAGEMENT shall posta notice <strong>of</strong> the designated FREE DAY <strong>of</strong> each ARTIST for the next week.c. PRINCIPAL ARTISTS singing Leading and Featured roles shallnot be called for any rehearsal on a performance day, except in emergency cases or unlessotherwise requested by PRINCIPAL ARTIST.d. No rehearsal or performance shall be scheduled sooner than twelve(12) hours following the end <strong>of</strong> the preceding evening's rehearsal or performance, except inemergency cases or unless otherwise requested by PRINCIPAL ARTIST. When the precedingrehearsal or performance requires make-up, the twelve (12) hour period shall commence one-half(l/2) hour after dismissal from the stage.e. No rehearsal shall be scheduled before 10:00 A.M.f. The call for a dress rehearsal shall start one-half (l/2) hour prior tothe call to report on-stage and shall be included in computing the total hours <strong>of</strong> rehearsalpermitted herein. In addition, one-half (l/2) hour following dismissal from the stage for theremoval <strong>of</strong> costumes and make-up shall be included when computing (calculating) total hours <strong>of</strong>rehearsal permitted.19COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTJuly 1, <strong>2010</strong> through June 30, <strong>2013</strong>
