FALCHEM TURBO WASHDESCRIPTION:FALCHEM® TURBO CHARGER CLEANER is a unique emulsifiable blend of petroleumsolvents and chemicals for quick penetration and easy removal of oil deposits that form on the finnedtubes of air coolers. Regular cleaning maintenance will keep air coolers at peak efficiency. Also forcleaning oil slide deposits of fuel oil heaters, lube oil coolers and associated piping.CHARACTERISTICS, ADVANTAGES & APPLICATIONS:CLEANING EXHAUST SIDE OF TURBO-BLOWERSTurbo-wash may also used to help clean carbon and soot deposits from exhaust side of turbo-blowers. Usethe same method as “A” above, observing engine and/or turbo-blower manufacturers recommendations andrestrictions on operation speed. Generally, the washing period should be ten (10) minutes as frequently asfound necessary. The turbine casing should be drained during cleaning and the turbo-charge parts should bethoroughly dried by operating the unit for as least ten (10) minutes after completing the solutionintroduction. After the ten minute drying period. Full speed operation can be resumed.Engine output should be reduced washing procedure. The turbo-charger speed should be reduced to 25% ofmaximum speed while introducing the solution.CLEANING FUEL OIL HEATERS OR LUBE OIL COOLERSFor best results Turbo-wash should be circulated through the heat exchange unit for 6 to 8 hours dependingon the amount of deposits present and the length of time since the last cleaning. When Turbo-wash is usedas a preventive maintenance item periodically, circulating time can be substantially reduced Turbo-washsolution can be saved and reused until it becomes thoroughly contaminated. Contaminated flushing unitwith kerosene before using Turbo-wash will prevent excessive dilution. During cleaning, solids mayaccumulate in reservoir drum. These solids may be removed by allowed the solution to settle and decantingclean liquid from the top. When cleaning of Turbo-wash has been reduced by excessive dilution with fueloil, the material can be dumped into bunker tanks and burned. For circulating Turbo-wash, a pump with alarge discharge volume should be used in order to insure rapid flow through the unit. A 30 or 55-gallondrum fitted with wooden cover containing an opening for the discharge pipe can be used as a reservoir. Useenough Turbo-wash to fill the unit and piping and enough additional material to keep the reservoir one thirdfull. Take pump suction from the reservoir and discharge into the lowest connection on the heat exchanger.Pipe the overflow from the highest point on the heat exchanger back into the reservoir. A fine mesh screenshould be adapted to the reservoir return for removing large pieces, which become dislodged during thecleaning operation. To aid the dislodging of loosened particles, a method of back flushing can be used asindicated in schematic drawing showing recommended hook-ups for used of Turbo-washBURNER TIPS & CARBONIZED PARTSFalchem Turbo-wash can be used for cleaning burner tips or carbonized parts, by allowing them to soakand then wiping them dry.TYPICAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIESColor: ColorlessSpecific gravity (25°C) : 1.16Flash Point : > 80°C

APPLICATIONDuring operation, the fins and tubes of main engine air cooler become fouled with oil, grease, dust andcarbonaceous matter. These substances are contaminants of air in the engine room and get deposited on thecooling surface. Deposits of these materials adversely affect the efficiency of air coolers, air compressorexhaust valves and other engine room equipment.FALCHEM TURBO WASH penetrates the deposits, dissolving oily matter and loosening insolublesolids, so that they can be easily removed with compressed air or a stream of water. This chemical is alsoused for cleaning the discs of the oil purifier centrifuges. Following are the recommended procedures forusing FALCHEM TURBO WASH.SPRAY METHODFALCHEM TURBO WASH may be sprayed on the soiled parts, using a pressure spray system. Afterallowing the chemical to soak the oily deposits, the parts are cleaned with high-pressure water jet.SAFETY AND HANDLINGHANDLINGSAFETYEye ContactSkin ContactInhalationIf SwallowedGeneralinstructionsPACKING SIZE:Handle with care.
