The agreementmay or may not be formally registered with the WAIRC orAIRC.Total hours of annual leave taken by an employee in thefinancial year to date.A legally binding order made by an industrial tribunal whichprescribes the terms and conditions of employment.Leave taken by an employee to provide care or support to amember of the employee’s family or household.Those employees who are paid at an hourly rate and mayreceive a special loading, usually in lieu of leaveentitlements. Usually covered under the terms andconditions of a relevant award or agreement.Census dates are: 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and31 December.A three‐month interval beginning on the first day after theprevious census period and ending on the last pay day in thecurrent quarter.A single alphabetical letter, a numeric digit, or a space.Some characters cannot be used, including \ ‐ ; : ‘ ” *. Anexample of an acceptable 10‐character data format wouldbe “HR MOIR 11”.An agreed allowance negotiated between the employee andthe employer, paid in lieu of actual overtime worked. It isnormally paid to a group of employees occupying positionsthat require work to be performed consistently andregularly outside and in excess of the prescribed hours ofduty.The three‐month interval for which information is beingreported upon.80

Dates must be entered in the format:YYYYMMDDwhere YYYY = yearMM = monthDD = daye.g.: 19790508DecimalEmployee appointment typeEmployee statusEquivalent annual base wage orsalaryField sizeA decimal number is a number that contains a fraction (x.s).‘x’ is an integer and ‘s’ indicates the number of digits in thefractional part of the number. Acceptable examples of dataformat Decimal (2.2) would be 37.50 and 75.00.The employee’s appointment type, usually expressed aspermanent or non‐permanent (which includes fixed‐termcontracts, casuals and sessional employees).The type of work arrangement of an employee, e.g., active(not on extended leave), on long service leave, on extendedpaid leave, on extended unpaid leave, or separated.The annual wage or salary an employee would be paid ifthat employee were full‐time.e.g.: a part‐time employee earning $15,000 per annumworking 15 hours per week would have an equivalentannual base wage or salary of $37,500.The number of spaces the data can fill up in each record oremployee’s line.Financial year to date (FYTD) Commences: day after last pay day prior to June 30.e.g.: if the last pay day in the financial yearsis June 24, then FYTD commences June 25.Ends: last pay day in current collection quarter.81
