HUMAN RESOURCE MINIMUM OBLIGATORY INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS (HRMOIR)2012/13 Financial YearField 7.3 – FYTD Gross Commuted Allowance PaymentsDescription:Codes/Calculation:Total gross commuted allowance paid to the employee in the current financial year.‘Commuted allowance’ is an agreed allowance negotiated between the employee andthe employer, paid in lieu of actual overtime and/or call or shift allowances worked.Other allowances may also be negotiated to be paid as commuted allowances.Commuted allowance is normally paid to a group of employees occupying positionsthat require work to be performed consistently and regularly outside and in excess ofthe prescribed hours of duty.Include:• Regular overtime payments and other allowance payments negotiated foremployees.• Regular overtime payments and other allowance payments negotiated foremployees on workers’ compensation (only if paid through the payroll).• Retrospective payments.Exclude:• Regular overtime payments and other allowance payments negotiated foremployees on Workers’ compensation payments NOT paid through thepayroll.7. FYTD SalaryInformationRemarks/Validation:The value calculated must be rounded to the nearest dollar.
