See “Jump Starting” in the Indexfor tips on working around a battery withoutgetting hurt.After a power loss, such as disconnecting the battery orremoving the maxi fuses in the power distribution fuseblock, the following steps must be performed tocalibrate the electronic throttle control. If this is notdone, the engine will not run properly.1. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position. Do notstart the engine.2. Leave the ignition in the RUN position for at leastthree minutes so that the electronic throttle controlwill cycle and re-learn its home position.3. Turn the ignition to OFF.4.
