Samobor kremšnite (custard slice) Ingredients: 1 L milk, 250 g sugar, 70 g smooth flour, 8 eggs, 1 package vanilla sugar, 2 pastry crusts Separate the egg whites and yolks, and cook the milk to the boil. Mix the egg yolks, flour, 50 g sugar, vanilla sugar, and 200 ml milk. Cook on high heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the custard from burning. Beat the egg whites with remaining sugar until stiff. Add the cooked cream to the egg white mixture and fold well. Pour the hot cream onto the pastry crust in an even layer and cover with the second pastry crust; cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar. 2. Plešivički Copanjak (Plešivica cheese dish) Dough: 500 g flour, 1 tbp pork lard, 3 tbsp cream, 50 ml water, salt to taste Knead the dough and leave for 30 minutes. While waiting, make the filling. Vrbovečka Pera (Vrbovec dish) Dough: 20 g yeast, 2 tbsp melted butter, 500 g flour, 1 tsp salt Filling: fresh cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 200 ml cream, pinch of salt Knead the dough and leave it in a warm oven to rise. Mix eggs, cream, and salt with the cheese. Roll out the dough so that you cover the bottom and sides of a greased pan, add the filling, and roll the edges over it. Bake at 200º C. Jelačić slice Ingredients: 1.5 kg chocolate, 1.5 L whipped cream, 20 egg yolks, 3 eggs, 300 g sugar, 300 g almonds, 200 g walnuts, 150 g flour, grated lemon peel, little vanilla sugar Mix the egg yolks, 3 eggs, and sugar into a creamy mixture and add the almonds, walnuts, flour, grated lemon peel and vanilla sugar into the mixture.
