Ratko MLADIC committed in concert with others, planned,instigated, ordered, and/or aided and abetted the extermination and murder ofBosnian Muslims and Bosnian Croats in the Municipalities, the exterminationand murder of Bosnian Muslims from Srebrenica, and the murder of membersof the civilian population of Sarajevo and/or persons not taking active part inthe hostilities. In addition, Ratko MLADIC knew or had reason to know thatextermination and murder were about to be or had been committed by hissubordinates, and he failed to take the necessary and reasonable measures toprevent such acts or punish the perpetrators thereof.61. As alleged in paragraphs 8 to 23, between 12 May 1992 and 30November 1995 Ratko MLADIC participated in a joint criminal enterpriseto permanently remove Bosnian Muslims and Bosnian Croats from territoriesof BiH claimed as Bosnian Serb territory; between 12 May 1992 andNovember 1995 he participated in a joint criminal enterprise to spread terroramong the civilian population of Sarajevo through a campaign of sniping andshelling; and he participated in a joint criminal enterprise to eliminate theBosnian Muslims in Srebrenica by killing the men and boys and forciblyremoving the women, children and some elderly men. The crimes ofextermination and/or murder formed part of the objectives of all three ofthese criminal enterprises.62. Acts of extermination and murder that formed part of the objective topermanently remove Bosnian Muslims and Bosnian Croats from BosnianSerb-claimed territory carried out between 12 May 1992 and 30 November1995 by members of the Serb Forces and Bosnian Serb Political andCase No. IT- 09-92-1 28 1 June 2011
