In Chinese Medicine, EnergySystem Health Comes FirstWithout energy or oxygen there is no lifeBlood Flow is sustained by Qi Energy andmeridiansEnergy is the foundation for all physiologicalsystemsEnergy comes from breath and an unseennetwork that connects every thing

Energy Source in BreathingBecause of the energy and oxygen link,The supply of energy improves with thequality of breathing habits.Hence relaxed diaphragmatic breathingsupports improved energy flowthroughout the body.

Energy Meridians are like theelectrical wiring in our homeMeridians run throughout the body todeliver and move energy.Chinese Medicine is concerned witheliminating energy blockages in thechannels or meridians an AC Points.Meridians are named by the life functionassociated with them.

Acupressure PointsThere are hundreds of tiny reservoirs ofheat electromagnetic along the surfaceof the skin, and more deeply within thebody, known as acupuncture pointsThese can be stimulated with needlesor massage pressure, stretching andspecific energy meridian exercises.

Chakra’sare part ofMeridiansthey serve asthe centralcontrol unitsthat feed themeridians. Itis believedthat completehealth beginsand ends withthis system

Scientific Tests Demonstratethat Meridians Exist. Can be viewed through radioactiveisotopes injected into the acupuncturepoints that show duct-like tubules about0.5 – 1.5 microns in diameter.Meridians have also been seen throughKirlian photography first invented in 1939,a precursor to infrared photography

Energy BlockagesWhen we abuse or cause stress to ourbodies, and when we perceive life asstressful, intense or constant– Our energy system becomes overloaded– The reaction is similar to an overloadedcircuit where the breaker trips– the system requires resetting to restoreenergy flow.– Physically this can appear as tension andknots, areas of poor circulation, tired anddrained of vital energy

Resetting the circuit breaker andenergy flowCan be done in a combination of ways– acupuncture– acupressure– massage– energy meridian exercise like Medical QiGong.– Meditation– Relaxation– Herbs and natural remedies

these methods also help– All body tapping causing vibration– Stretching-opening all joints and tissues toenergy flow– Opening the joints with rotational movements– Oxygenating with deep diaphragmaticbreathing– Mind body awareness exercises– Relaxation of tension– Accepting and letting go of emotional issuesyou can’t control– All of these techniques are long-term-lifestylehealth maintenance, daily practices

Types of Energy Meridian Exercise– Ti Chi– Yoga– Qi Gong 7,000 styles– Ai Chi (in water)– Shaking or VibrationSimilar techniques within many differentcultures– Korea, Japanese,– India, Tibet– South America, most aboriginal culturesThe Chinese systems is the most refined andstudied by science

Disease and EnergyStagnant chi, means poor blood flow, andpoor tissue or cellular healthIf energy/chi is imbalanced the blood becomesimbalanced a precursor to diseaseIf energy circulates poorly blood thickens orclots and becomes stagnantPoor breathing, causes poor chi in the bellyresulting in poor digestionWhen energy flows through the meridiansmore fully, blood circulation becomes moreeven and smooth

Emotions and EnergyAre intimately relatedCulprits to degenerating health aremindsets and lifestylesIf mind is habitually fearful kidneys areweakenedIf depressed the Lungs are weakenedIf habitually angry the liver is weakenedIf habitually judgmental and critical thestomach is weakened

ApplicationUse of specific exercises, acupressurepoints and herbs– Return the bodies natural balance– relieve the mind of worry and easedepression– Assist peace of mind– Raising the energy level to stimulaterecovery, it takes energy to heal– Calm anxious nerves and release excesshyper, stagnated or agitated energy

Energy flows like a riverWorking with the energy meridians andacupressure points, eliminatescongestion and improves circulationRestoring flow interrupts anddisorganizes the patterns of illnessThe Dynamic Balance that Chinesemedicine calls health, manifests assmooth and constant flow, like a healthystream or riverNote a pond cut off from flow stagnatesand rots

Poor Energy FlowPain is considered the result ofcongested energy, blood or moistureIf poor circulation persists, tissues, muscles tendons, nerves, bloodvessels, and internal organs becomeswollen, fibrous, and hardened whichfurther impedes adequate circulationundermining the functional health
