Every dwelling is equippedwith a domestic fan, type CMF or CMFe, a ductsystem, a non-powered extractor hood andadjustable ventilation valves in the rooms to beconnected. On the delivery side, the fan is connectedat an angle of 90° to a collective duct, to which areconnected all the vertically-adjacent dwellings. A nonreturnvalve and fire-retardant materials must also befitted on the delivery side between the fan and themain duct. A very low resistance Unievent extractorhood is fitted to the collective duct on the roof. The loss of pressure on both the suctionand delivery side of the fan up until the main duct canbe determined through calculation. The tables belowgive the diameters of the main ducts, the air volumesand the number of storeys, whereby the maximumpressure loss in the main duct, including theextraction hood, amounts to 30Pa. and 50Parespectively.
