The technology made possible through the
production of silicon wafers has revolutionized
forever how we create, disseminate, retrieve, and
store information. The people of MEMC, and the
products they develop and manufacture, have
made that possible. They have earned the right to
proclaim, “Technology Is Built On Us.”
MEMC’s newest facility in Ipoh, Malaysia,
is scheduled to open in 2009.

The newest and latest isn’t always about
technology. In 2009, MEMC plans to open a new
facility in Ipoh, Malaysia. The new facility will
provide a low-cost manufacturing site, which will
improve MEMC’s ability to penetrate and increase
share in the 200mm market. Ipoh will have the
capability to perform wafer slicing through epi.
It is designed to handle products for all market
segments, more specifically to hold a world-class
facility to support the growing 200mm discrete
and CIS markets.

construction to extend,
renovate, and convert
property into clean room
manufacturing area with
required facilities
