It has 284 beds in the facility. Methodistwas the state's first community hospital to have a psychiatric unit. Plus, its nursery schoolwas one of the first corporate daycares in the U.S. Several upgrades have been made to
the original facility. For instance, in 1998, the Berger Tower was completed and it holds169 additional beds.
