(vs. 3) Discuss the difference betweenHis glory in the Holy of Holies for only the High Priest to experience once a year and Hisglory in the new Jerusalem for everyone to beholdo Write things that make the children sad inside tear shapes drawn on a dry-erase board,and erase each one (vs. 4-5)o Give each child a drink (vs. 6) and describe how God will satisfy us completelyo Show pictures of parents (vs. 7) and discuss the bond between parents and childrenMEMORY VERSE<strong>Revelation</strong> <strong>21</strong>:6“<strong>And</strong> He said to me, ‘It is done! ACTIVITIES• Crafto Give each child a piece of blank white paper and have him draw something that makeshim sad or that hurtso Give each child a piece of light colored construction paper and have her draw a pictureof something that makes her happyo Staple the happy picture over the sad pictureo Talk about how the sadness and pain will pass away when Jesus brings the newheaven and the new earth. Everything will be made new• Object Lessono Show children old worn out toys next to new toys, or old worn out shoes next to newshoes; ask which they would chooseo Show the children stale bread and fresh bread with jelly to share, or moldy cheese andfresh cheese with crackers to share; ask which they would chooseo Consider the beauty of the amazing earth and heaven we see today even under thecurse; imagine how awesome the new heaven and the new earth will be. Ask whichthey would choose, and encourage the children to live for Jesus today. He will bebringing the new heaven and the new earth one day in the future• Gameo Choose a volunteer to sit in a chair at the front of the class with a blindfold ono Hold something near him that he can either hear or feel the effect of Fan, harmonica, radio, hair dryer, spray bottle, timer…o Ask the child to identify what is there and how he knew it was thereo Repeat with various children until everyone has a turno Compare this to how we know God now and in the <strong>New</strong> Jerusalem. Now we hear Hisvoice and we see His work, so we know He is there, but in the new heaven and the newearth we will see Him face to faceMATERIALS- Coloring paper with memory verse on it (Print the coloring page fromhttp://children.calvarychapel.com/site/curriculum_n.htm and cut and paste the memory verse onto thebottom)- Crayons- Pictures of brides on their wedding day - Costumes- Picture of the Old Testament tabernacle - Dry-erase marker- Tear shapes written on a dry-erase board - Eraser- Cups and drinks or juice boxes for each child - Stapler- Blank white paper for each child - Blindfold- Light colored construction paper for each child - Old toys or shoes- Stale or moldy food and fresh food to share with each child - <strong>New</strong> toys or shoes- Pictures of parents and children - Plates- Objects that can be identified by the sound they make or the effect they cause
