There isanother, economically viable option available from Pyrotek.The Metaullics Zinc Recovery (MZR) system is a patented low cost thermal process whichallows free zinc to be recovered from zinc skimmings for re-use in the galvanizing process.Data collected over several years indicates that recoverable zinc from galvanizing skimmingsmay be as much as 90% with an average of about 70% by weight. The MZR payback can beas low as 6 months, depending on the operational and market conditions. The MZR system isavailable in two sizes:MZR-1500The MZR-1500 has been designed and built toaccommodate large-volume skimmings producerssuch as continuous galvanizing and large generalhot dip galvanizing groups. MZR-1500 has a nominalwaste processing capacity of 1500 kg (3300 lbs.) perbatch and incorporates many of the basic operationalcharacteristics of the MZR-750. Heating chamberproperties have been enhanced with better insulation,accurate temperature monitoring and high-efficiencyinfra-red burners.MZR-750MZR-750 has a nominal waste processing capacityof 750 kg (1650 lbs.) for each recycling batch. It issimple to operate and does not need special dedicatedpersonnel during use.Temperature MonitoringFor accurate melt temperature measuring, Pyrotekoffers a wide array of Thermocouple Assembliesfeaturing O’Sialon Protection Tubes. Non-wetting,highly oxidation, corrosion and abrasion resistant,and with excellent thermal response properties, anassembly with a O’Sialon TCPT is a reliable solutionfor temperature monitoring.
