Shades CP-13Options and SurchargesTwo Shades on One HeadrailTwo shades on one headrail is the option used most often wheninstalling shades over asliding glass door. Thecenter gap between shadesis 3/8”. Each shade operatesindependently withits own lift control.Thecontrols must be positionedon the left side ofthe left shade and on theright side of the rightshade. Two-on-one headrail option is available forstandard, cordfree, SimpleAscent and top down rail systems only. Price as 2 separate shades.Surcharge: $50. Skanda is not responsible for freight damage on2-on-1 headrails over 96”.Octagon and Hexagon ShadesThese shades are non-operational shades. They remain in a fixed,closed position. They musthave a minimum widthper side of 12” and a maximumtotal width (edge toedge diameter) of no morethan 30”.Surcharge: $150.Trapezoid ShadesThe trapezoid shade is operational and must open in the direction ofthe longest rail. This rail will be locked in a fixed position. Themaximum width is 72” with a maximumheight of 96”. The maximumdifference between the widest widthand narrowest width can be no morethan 12”.Surcharge of $150.Cut OutsCut outs are frequently used to avoid the protruding tile at the bottomsides of a kitchen window. The problem with using cut outs ona shade is that the length dimension ofthe shade in relationship to the individualcell location is not stable. The shadewill stretch over time and the cell positionwill migrate accordingly. In otherwords, the height position of the cut outwill change and/or move. In addition,the shade fabric may begin to fray. Pleasemake your customer aware of these facts.Surcharge: $25 per side.Top Down ShadesTop Down shades lower from top to bottom and have only one cordlock. One set of lift cords for center rail,one set of support cords for bottom rail.They have a maximum width of 72” with amaximum length of 96”. When the shade is in the raised position, the color will appearmore intense. The shade must be in the lowered or closed position in order to determinecommercial tolerance of color when compared to the sample book swatch. Allpleated materials will appear mottled to some degree and show minor flaws when anexterior light source back-lights the shade. These issues are considered acceptableinherent characteristics of the fabric. All fabrics have a small amount of flaws presentthat can be seen close up. We consider these flaws acceptable unless they can be seenat a distance of over 5 feet away. Some minor puckering of the fabric may occur wherethe fabric is attached to the headrail. This is an inherent characteristic of all pleatedmaterial and considered acceptable. Some billowing of fabric may also occur on strongsun windows if you raise the product quickly. To avoid this, either wait for the heat todissipate or raise the shade very slowly. Pleated material has a memory. Once a shadehas billowed and been creased by raising it improperly, it tends to continue. This is notcovered by our warranty. Please make your customer aware of these product notes at thepoint of sale. We cannot convert standard headrail shades to a Simple Ascent headrailsystem due to drill hole alignment. Shades CP-35Shade OperationTreanna Shades feature the Omni-View Cord System. The Omni-ViewSystem provides the ability to manipulate the shade into various viewingpositions. From the closed and retracted position (fabric inside the headrail),lower the fabric by pulling down on the rear of the loop cord untilyou reach the desired shading position. Once the shade is lowered completelyto the window sill, continuing to pull the cord in the same directionwill open the horizontal fabric vanes, offering varied views to the outside.Continuing to pull the cord in the same direction will lift the shadewhile still in the “view-through” mode. To retract the shade, simply pulldown on the front of the cord until the shade reaches the desired viewingmode or fabric position.Viewing OptionsTreanna provides a number of varied views to the outside for controllinglight and privacy. Consequently, there are variations in visibility throughthe shade when the vanes are tilted to their maximum open positions. Thefollowing five modes can be obtained with standard shade operation whenviewing the shade at eye level.Closed Top - Open Bottom - By partially lowering the shade from thefully raised position, the upper portion of your window will become semiopaquewhile allowing a clear view below.Privacy - When lowered completely, Treanna pro vides some privacy whenvanes are closed, and softly diffuses light.Partially Open - Opening Treanna slightly will grad u al ly increase the levelof light and allow varying levels of view-through.“View Through” When Lowered - By completely open ing the vanes,Treanna provides a softened, veiled view to the outside.“View Through” When Raised - From the open or “View-Through”position, continuing to pull down on the back of the cord will raise thefabric allowing a clear view outside from below, and a veiled view above.Treanna can be raised up to 24” in this mode.Vane OpeningVanes on the two styles of sheer fabrics open to slightly different degrees.Consequently, there are variations in visibility through the shadings whenthe vanes are tilted to their maximum open positions. However, the inherent na -ture of the fabric will cause a slight in crease in the distancefrom the front to the back sheer, as you move furtherdown on the shading. CP-36 ShadesWindow ShadingsSpecificationsMeasuring InstructionsInside Mount: Measure across the width of your window opening in threedifferent places - top, middle, bottom. Measure the length of the windowopening from the underside of the soffit to the surface of the window sillin two places. Use the smaller of these two measurements. Measurementsshould be taken within the window jamb. Provide the smallest of the threemeasurements to Skandia. Be exact. Skandia will make the necessarydeductions to fit the window opening.Outside Mount: Measure the exact width and length of the area to becovered. On the width, allow at least 1-1/2” of an overlap on each side.An overlap of 3” on each side is recommended. Be sure to take into considerationany obstructions such as window trim, molding, locks and windowcranks.Side Mount: Treanna may be side mounted using “L” brackets. For sidemounts, follow the instructions for inside mounts. An additional 1/2” willbe taken off the standard inside-mount deduction to allow room for the“L” brackets. The maximum shade width utilizing the side-mount optionis 48”.Side-by-Side AlignmentWhen Treanna shades are installed side-by-side, vane alignment can beguaranteed within 1/4” only if the shades are the same color and orderedat the same time, AND the sum total of the widths of all shades needingalignment is less than 102”, AND shades are the exact same length, ANDside-by-side lineup is specified when the order is placed.Fabric CollectionTreanna shades are available in either a two- or three-inch cell size andthree fabric styles. Light filtering sheer, light filtering linen (two-inch cellonly) and room darkening. Please note that room darkening does not meanblackout.Cleaning and CareThe soft delicate feel of Treanna Window Prod ucts be lies the durability ofthe material. Treanna is made from sturdy, knitted polyester fabric andmay be feather dust ed.Spots or stains can be lightly rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mildsoap. To avoid discoloration of the ma te ri al, we recommend against theuse of chemical cleaners.Treanna may be cleaned ultrasonically.Light GapThere will be a larger light gap on the control side of the shade forall inside mounts. The pictures below are of the same shade. Theleft side gap is considerably narrower than the right control sidegap. This is an inherent design of this product.HardwareHold Down BracketsHold down brackets for Treanna are designed to provide the full range ofoperational control and motion that makes the Treanna product sounique. The “tab” on the end caps of the bottomrail will hold the fabricin place for door or win dow mounting, when the shade is completely lowered.The shade will disengage from the hold down bracket, and can beraised or lowered at any time, by simply adjusting the stan dard operatingcord.Extension Brack etsExtension or “L” brackets are available, which can be used to project theback of the shade 4-1/4” from the mounting sur face.Spacer BlocksProjects the shading 1/2” from the mounting surface. Use spacer blocks toobtain clearance when obstructions, such as window cranks or door handles,obstruct the movement of the shading.Cord TensionerThe cord tensioner keeps the shade cord taut toprevent children and pets from entangling andsubsequently injuring themselves. It also allowsthe bead chain and roll stop to pass through easily,as well as the nylon cord.
