Tabs:• Goals (Checklists & Vouchers,Courts Tracking Sheet)• PCP or Contact list (Booking Scripts)• New Recruits (Welcome Packet)• Promos & Events (Newsletter)

I recommend having an A-Z FILEBOX, ACCORDIAN FILE, or FILINGCABINET for keeping track of yourcustomers and their purchases.

Have a manilla folder for eachcustomer (last name first) whereyou store her Profile Card andSales Tickets. Just drop her filein the appropriate letter forstorage and easy retrieval of herinfo.Smith, Susie

If you prefer working with a PC,you can use MY CUSTOMERSon INTOUCH or a softwareprogram like BOULEVARDI recommend you hire someoneto do your DATA ENTRY!You can hire your children, find a teenager from yourchurch or local school’sbusiness program, or stay athome mom and pay them withFREE product!!! Don’t wasteyour time on PENNY JOBS!

Open up a separate CHECKING ACCOUNT foryour business and request a DEBIT CARD Use your DEBIT CARD for all your Mary Kaypurchases• This will make tax time a breeze. All you need isyour BANK STATEMENT to track your businessexpenditures. Keep CASH RECEIPTS for thingslike taxis, tips to bellman, etc.• You can either fill out the Accounting UnlimitedSheet each month –or- you can use an accountingsoftware like Quick Books, Peachtree, etc.

I normally stash my receipts in my MONEYBAG, and then transfer them to a hangingfile (with enclosed sides) in my filing cabinetwhen I get home. Once a month my assistant transfers thesereceipts to the appropriate section of myaccordian filefor the currenttax year.

50% of the money coming in from your salesmust be set aside for replenishing yourinventory…if you have inventory. The other 50% is your income.10% of your income should be set aside forsupplies (samples, books, pcp gifts, etc) A percentage should be set aside to payback your initial investment…eitherloan, credit card, or paying yourself back.Find a system that works for you to keeptrack of it all.

EXAMPLE:Woohoo! You had a $1000 week-$500 for inventory replenishment-$500 income (hands off…you’re not ready to goshopping just yet! )-$50 for supplies (books, samples, etc.)-$50-$100 paying off investment(this can eventually go towards paying for events)______________________________________=$400 *PROFITDEFINITION OF THE WORD *PROFIT:money left over after business expenses are paid.

Okay, sounds easy. But how do I keep track of all this?•You can use the BUSINESSTRACKING REGISTER from thecompany, or even a SPIRALNOTEBOOK will do.•If you’re the techie type, youcan use a software program likeEXCEL, QUICKBOOKS, ASCENDor PEACHTREE.
