The study area is 195km 2 and contains major creekssuch as Olinda Creek, Stringybark Creek and Brushy Creek (Figure 15). Majorpoints include the following:• Olinda Creek originates in the Dandenong Ranges and flows north tothe Yarra River. Flooding intensifies downstream of Lilydale (Figure 16). Hydraulicmodelling of the Creek is currently being undertaken by Melbourne Water(2010). Brushy Creek has a defined 100 Year flood extent downstream ofMooroolbark.Flood studies on the Melbourne Water drains in Mooroolbark show significantflooding for most Brushy Creek drains.
