Covering an area of 559 km2, the major riversinclude Little Yarra River, Cockatoo Creek and Woori Yallock Creek (Figure 9).Major points include the following:• The upper reaches of the Little Yarra River are protected forest;however the majority of the river flows through rural landscapes. LittleYarra River intersects the Yarra River at Yarra Junction.• The Woori Yallock Creek catchment is mostly rural, flowing from theDandenongs to the Yarra River.• Only a few minor underground drains are owned by Melbourne Water inthe study area.
