ROUND 9 REPORTSOpens2 nd XV: TSS 20 def BGS 5: Toowoomba GrammarSchool started well, applying plenty of pressure andthe half time score of 10-5 was indicative of thecloseness of the contest. After the break, ourdecision making improved and we put points on theboard while defending strongly throughout. Theseconds can be very content with their finish to theseason, after some unlucky and disappointing earlyrounds. Best Forward: Jack Parfitt. Best Back: ConnerMalan/Steve Rowell.3 rd XV: TSS 17 def TGS 0: Against solid opposition,the thirds finished the season well, with anotherstrong win. Our ball control was not as good as theprevious week, but the defence was solid once again.Best Forward: Mitch Gahan. Best Back: CheronePelgen.4 th XV: TSS 33 def TGS 0: The fourths finished theirseason slightly disappointingly, with the gamestopped early in the second half. The boys playedwith confidence in the first half, with strong attackand clean ball from the ruck once again. Defence wasstrong throughout. Best Forward: Joshua Fleming.Best Back: Nick Boyce/Lachie McColl.

Coaches, parents and all involved with TSS Rugby are proud of your efforts.All teams played with compassion and commitment. 25 wins and only 6 losses is testament ofthis.16A TSS def TGS 36-0: A dominant performance with the forwards under the leadership ofOscar Milroy giving the hungry backs countless opportunities all game.Dean van Heteren Swemmer played brilliantly on the wing scoring two tries. Also tries toCody Balckhurst, Jack Hoath, Oscar Milroy and Lloyd Strutynski. Jack Hoath converted threetimes.Coach Bromley commented on how well the boys played as a team all season. They wererelentless with their pressure all season. Worthy joint premiers.16B TSS def TGS 22-0: The boys dominated play all day and Zac Potter in the first half scored2 powerhouse tries. Tries were also scored by Tennyson Ling Stuckey and Sam Warren LukeDelaney converted once. Coach Stewart was pleased with the boys' continual pressure on theopposition as well as their improved self discipline over the season. Well done boys.16C TSS def TGS 12-0: This was a great game as both teams were very even and it was onlytwo pieces of individual brilliance which separated the sides. Blood relatives Tyler and BrodyBlades both scored brilliantly innovated tries. Brody also converted his own try. CoachesCallum Sutherland and Nick Warner have been proud of their players all season particularlyhighlighting their consistency and never say die attitude. A wonderful team.16D TSS def TGS 22-17: in what was a very close contest.Tries to Stuart Munro, CharlieCraggs, Anthony Abreu and Mitchell McPhee. Anthony Abreu converted once. Thoughinconsistent at times the boys have been full of enthusiasm and have enjoyed their Rugby.Coaches Mitch Cripps and Justin Bernstein have enjoyed their association with boys in theteam.Thank you to the parents for your support and to Mr Delaney for his tireless assistance aslinesman during the season and also to Mr Rose and Mr Lewis for helping with linesmanduties as well.John Wallace
