<strong>Supplementary</strong> <strong>Regulations</strong>. CAMS Permit Number: 206/0204/02NATURE OF THE EVENT. An Open Short Course <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> event to be promoted by the Kempsey-Macleay<strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Club Inc. on the 1-2nd April 2006 at DONDINGALONG CIRCUIT which is CAMS registered andlicenced under the MOTOR VEHICLE SPORTS (PUBLIC SAFETY) Act 1985, lic no.81/A/235.The Circuit islocated 13km South West of KEMPSEY. All vehicles described as Class 1 to Class 9 which comply with Section 12-1 to 12-30 of the 2006C.A.M.S manual, excluding GR30 to GR35.2. Competing vehicles must carry securely mounted currently stamped fire extinguishers totalling1.8kg capacity which comply with AS1841,AS1846, or AS1848.(6/16 schedule H).3. Maximum noise emission of 95db(A) at thirty metres will be measured and enforced. Any vehicle thatdoes not and cannot comply can be excluded from the event. Maximum allowed by Circuit Owners.4. All vehicles must display their C.A.M.S. allocated numbers or a number accepted by the organisers,on the rear of the vehicle and on each side of a roof fin.5. Please Note BULLETIN NUMBER: B05/032 Re ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS and BONNET RETENTION.AWARDS AND POINTS.Trophies will be awarded to drivers and navigators for the first 3 placings in each class and TOP 10shootout winner.CREW ELIGIBILITY.a. Points will only be awarded once per vehicle entered, but there may be more than one driver.(See theconditions for the NSW <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Championships and East Coast Tri Challenge, as set out below.)b. Class 1-2-3-5-7 & 8 shall carry a Driver and Navigator, Class 9 a driver only & Class 4 may have aNavigator.c. AN UNAUTHORISED PERSON IN A RACE VEHICLE IS PROHIBITEDd. Crew changes will be permitted, but only with the event Secretary ’s / Director’s permission.MINUMUM AGEDriver and Co-Driver Minimum 16 years of age. Navigator 14 years of age. PITCREW minimum 16years.LICENCE REQUIREMENTS.NO-NON-NOJ-NONJ-NONSE (Single Event Navigator) or greater.THE NSW OFF ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP CONDITIONS.(See 2006 <strong>Regulations</strong>)The NUMBER 1 driver will be given 5 points for entering this event and must comply with the following:(1)Unless previously registered in 2006, the promoters must recieve the completed form, with the $5annual fee, prior to the event beginning. (2). Drive in the prologue and a majority of the race.THE EAST COAST TRI-CHALLENGETo gain points the Number 1 driver must nominate one of the clubs listed below on the entry form.The Number 1 Driver shall be a financial member of that nominated club.By starting any part of the event, 20 points plus Outright or Class points gained will be awarded.The TOP 10 Club points scored, will be the only points counted for that nominated club.The Scoring Clubs are(1) Central North Coast Sporting Car Club (2)Crookwell <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Club (3)Hunter Valley <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> <strong>Racing</strong> Ass(4) Kempsey Macleay <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> Club (5) Sydney <strong>Off</strong> <strong>Road</strong> <strong>Racing</strong> Assoc. SAFETY.ALL COMPETITORS MUST COMPLY WITH THE NATIONAL COMPETITION RULES.a. All drivers and navigators must wear a helmet approved by C.A.M.S. and bearing a standardsmark as set out in the manual Schedule D sec. 6 - 7.b. Goggles or visor (not glass) must be worn where a vehicle is not fitted with an approvedwindscreen.c. Minimum clothing shall be one piece overalls or driving suit fitting from ankles, neck to wristsand NOT made from nylon or similar synthetic materials. Suitable shoes must be worn.d. A C.A.M.S. currently approved safety harness must be worn by the crew.START TIMING AND FINISHING.1. Starting will be by lights or a flag. Timing begins when the signal to start is given or when thelight turns green, timing is to the elapsed 1/100sec.2. If a competitor fails to complete the 4 laps in 16 minutes from his start (subject to good trackconditions), a DNF can be given and the timing equipment zeroed for the next event.3. Timing officials will be deemed to be Judges of Fact.PROTESTS,Protests may only be made in the appropriate manner as outlined in the C.A.M.S. manual Part XIIsec. 4 page 31. (A Competitor Liaison <strong>Off</strong>icer is available.)A condition of entry is that the track will be watered when it is required by the organisers.COMPETITION RULES.1. Any vehicle that misses its allocated heat will not be permitted to start in another heat in thatround and will be given a DNS.2. A vehicle that arrives to start after it’s scheduled starting time, may start as the <strong>Off</strong>icialstarter directs,but if the first car in it’s heat has reached the wooden safety fence on it’s first lap,the late car will then not be permitted to start and will be given a D.N.S.If it is allowed to start, the elapsed time begins on the origional scheduled starting time.3. Competitors unable to make the start may be given 2 minutes to do so if it is applied for beforethe first car in that heat starts.4. The consumption of alcohol or smoking will not be permitted in the pits or in race cars at anytime during the competition.5. A competitor may return to the pits during a race through the normal RETURN TO PIT gateand if rejoining that particular race must do so through the normal STARTING GATE and will beunder the control of the starting officials.PIT REFUELLING AND HOT AREA . (REF 12-5 Par 13.6)1. There is a designated HOT AREA for ALL WELDING, OPEN FLAMES AND GRINDING.2. This area will be confined to the machinery shed in the PITS where mains power is available.3. The balance of the PITS are to be treated as a COLD AREA where fuel can be kept and used.SEE THE 2006 CAMS MANUAL REFERING TO CONDITIONS FOR REFUELLING. REF. 12-3 Par. 4.5DETERMINATION OF THE WINNER OF THIS NSWORC ROUND.The competitor that does the most races in the least time (Plus Penalty time) is the winner.PENALTIES.As per the C.A.M.S. manual, but the following penalties are brought to your attention:(1) JUMPING THE START: One (1) minute or if repeated or blatant breaking of the start,exclusion. All wheels must be stationary.(2) SHORTCUTTING: One (1) to five (15) minutes at the Stewards discretion. Every attempt mustbe made to follow the course.(3) DANGEROUS DRIVING: Exclusion.(4) DELIERATE INTERFERENCE with or impeding other competitors: One minute for eachoccurrence. Additional penalties may be imposed on the last two penalties by the Stewards.GENERAL.(1)Passes will only be supplied to Competitors and Crew as listed on the entry form. Passes must be wornin the pits at all times.(2) All persons in the pit area must be in possession of a pass and be 16 years of age or 14 years if they areentered as a Navigator.(3) No persons other than officials and competitors are allowed on the course without permission from theClerk of Course.(4) All competing vehicles must be located in the designated pit area during the event, and must servicefrom this area ONLY.Page 3
