38567evidence indicating whether, and if so for what purpose, D1447 and P1273 were used inrelation to the shelling of Benkovac during Operation Storm.1424. The Trial Chamber will now turn to the locations of the designated targets andother relevant objects in Benkovac. Based on the evidence of Vukašinović, Novaković,Dijkstra, Rajčić, Roberts and Witness 56, the Trial Chamber finds that the SVK“Slobodan Macura” barracks was located in western Benkovac at marking 1 on mapP2327. Based on the evidence of Rajčić, the Trial Chamber finds that the cross-roadsdesignated as a target was located at marking 3 on map P2327. The Trial Chamber notesthat these cross-roads correspond to the location of the object listed as Benkovačko Seloon the Jagoda list (marking 693 on D1460 and D1446).1425. The Trial Chamber finds, based on the testimony of Witness 56 andVukašinović, that the police station was located in the centre of Benkovac, roughly 150metres north of the main road, approximately at the location indicated on map D248, p.3. Based on maps D1460 and D1446, the Trial Chamber finds that the coordinates of thepolice station entered on the “Jagoda” list place the police station along the main road inBenkovac, approximately 150 metres south of the location indicated on D248, p. 3 (seemarking 695 on maps D1460 and D1446). This suggests that at some point prior toOperation Storm, the HV may have believed the police station to be located at thelocation along the main road entered on the “Jagoda” list. The Trial Chamber notes thatthe location Rajčić provided, namely marking 2 on map P2327, roughly covers both thelocation marked on D248, p. 3 and that provided by the Jagoda list. In the absence ofany additional evidence indicating where the HV believed the police station to belocated at the time of Operation Storm, the Trial Chamber will continue to consider bothidentified locations. Based on the testimony of Vukašinović, the Trial Chamber findsthat RSK policemen were supplied with weapons by the SVK, and that these werestored in the police station. Further, despite Novaković’s testimony that he was unawareof any SVK use of a church in Benkovac, the Trial Chamber finds that, based on thetestimony of Witness 56, there was a Catholic church close to the police station, whichhoused a platoon of RSK special police.1426. In addition, the Trial Chamber finds, based on the evidence of Dijkstra,Vukašinović and Novaković, that there was a firemen’s hall located in southernBenkovac at a location marked B on map D1500 (see also D248 p. 3). The TrialChamber finds, based on the testimony of Vukašinović, that this hall contained the748Case No.: IT-06-90-T 15 April 2011 `
