The ambition of the son wasone of self-reliance and determination and he held as insuperable no obstaclethat obstructed his path toward the goal of his ambition, with the result thatin attaining to his desired ends he built the ladder upon which he rose to thedesired plane.Dr. Goss acquired his early education at Homer, Banks County, Georgia, and at Hebron Academy in the same county, and through this medium heprepared himself for college.
