Returning to Georgia at theend of that time, he entered the Atlanta Law School, from which he was graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Laws, in 1911, and, was at once admittedto practice. Opening an office at Millen, the county seat of Jenkins County,he soon became recognized as a thorough, astute and learned attorney, andhis connection with some important litigation brought him prominently before'the public as possessed of judicial timbre. In 1912 he was appointed to fillan unexpired term as ordinary of Jenkins County, and his services in thatcapacity were so satisfactory that at'the ensuing election he was elected to afull term in that office.Judge Rabb is a" member of the Jenkins County Bar Association and theGeorgia State Bar Association, and stands high in the esteem of his fellowpractitioners.His fraternal connection is with the Independent Order ofOdd Fellows, while his political support is given unreservedly to the democratic party. He belongs to the Baptist Church, and has been generous in hissupport of its movements. As a citizen he has contributed freely of his timeand abilities to public-spirited movements, and in every way has endeavoredto advance ihe best interests of his community.Judge Rabb was married December 1, 1909, in Jenkins County, to MissJessie Lanier, daughter of Thomas and Josephine Lanier, and on her mother'sside a lineal descendant of the old and honored Lane family, which, like theLaniers, has produced many men of prominence. Two children have beenborn to Judge and Mrs. Rabb: Emmalane, born in 1911; and Frank Gordon,Jr., born in 1915. On coming to Milleji Judge Rabb built one of the finesthomes in the city. He is very fond of out-door life, particularly in connectionwith hunting and fishing, is considered one of the most accurate marksmen inthis part of the state, and is the owner of one of the best bird dogs in JenkinsCounty.R. Since August, 1911, Doctor Dodson has been assistant to Doctor Lane, the general superintendent and chief surgeon of theAtlantic Coast Line Railway Hospital at Wayeross.He was born in Baltimore County, Maryland, October 22, 1887, a sonof John R. and Elizabeth (Seling) Dodson, both of whom were born in thesame locality. His father, who is now fifty years of age, has spent all his activecareer as a farmer in Maryland. Doctor Dodson was the only child of hisparents and attended the public schools in Baltimore County, also the LoyolaCollege ,x>f Baltimore, and was graduated M. D. in 1911 from the Universityof Maryland. He had already served two years a^an interne in a Baltimorehospital, and after his graduation he came to Wayeross and took up his present duties.He is secretary of the Ware County Medical Society, a member of the Stateand Eleventh District societies, and is a Fellow of the American Medical Association. In politics he is independent, is junior warden in the local lodge ofMasons and is also affiliated with the Royal Arch Chapter. His church is the.Episcopal.On December 27, 1911, in Baltimore County, Maryland, he married MissFrances A. Lewis, daughter of Charles E. and Catherine Lewis.
