TM 9-2815-226-34-1(12) Measure inside diameter of bushing at several points across bushing.(13) Mark bushing for replacement if worn out-of-round or diameter exceeds 1.1286 in. (28.6664 mm).(14) Check each intake and exhaust lever-to-crosshead contact surface.(15) Replace lever if surface worn or damaged.c. Inspect rocker lever adjusting screws.(1) Check adjusting screw ball end with 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) radius gage.(2) Discard screw if flat on bottom and ball not true sphere.(3) Discard screw if end galled.(4) Check thread condition on all screws and in levers. Check closely for thread distortions at assemblyposition of locknut. Screws must run freely through levers.3-205
TM 9-2815-226-34-13-35. REPAIR ROCKER LEVER HOUSING ASSEMBLYa. Repair injector rocker lever.(1) Replace injector rocker lever socket.(a)(b)(c)Drill 1/16 in. (1.58 mm) hole in lever above socket.Insert pin punch through drilled hole and drive out socket.Press new socket into lever. Ensure socket is fully seated.(2) Press plug into drilled hole and stake in position.b. Repair rocker lever housing.NOTERepair limited to removal of sharp edges, nicks, and burrs at shaft entrance bores.(1) Place small strip of 240 grit aluminum oxide sanding cloth on steel rod split to accept paper.(2) Clean bores with sanding cloth and rod secured to hand drill.WARNINGCOMPRESSED AIR USED FOR CLEANING PURPOSES WILL NOT EXCEED 30 PSI(207 KPA). USE ONLY WITH EFFECTIVE CHIP GUARDING AND PERSONALPROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (GOGGLES, SHIELD, GLOVES, ETC.).(3) Blow out bores with compressed air.3-206
