TM 9-2815-226-34-1b. Replace accessory drive oil seal.(1) Carefully pry out and discard accessory drive oil seal from gear case cover.WARNINGP-D-680 SOLVENT IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. AVOID PROLONGED ORREPEATED CONTACT WITH SKIN. KEEP AWAY FROM FLAME OR EXCESSIVEHEAT.(2) Clean bore in cover with cleaning solvent and wipe dry with lint-free cloth.(3) Carefully tap new seal into cover until fully seated.c. If accessory drive bushing is to be replaced, proceed as follows:(1) Using ST-598 gear cover bushing mandrel, insert mandrel through rear of bushing and drive bushing out ofcover.WARNINGP-D-680 SOLVENT IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. Steam clean head assembly and dry with compressed air.b. Secure head to ST-583 holding fixture. Fixture provides 360 degrees rotation of head. Set knobs on fixturebrackets for desired length.c. Remove valves:3-156(1) Screw ST-448 valve spring compressor stud into rocker lever housing mounting capscrew hole in cylinderhead.(2) Compress one valve spring at a time.
