As expected, married womenare less likely to make exclusive decisions on how to spend their earnings, compared with unmarriedwomen (41 <strong>and</strong> 85 percent, respectively). Thirty-one percent of married women decide jointly with theirhusb<strong>and</strong>s. It is notable that one in four married women who earn cash for their work say that their husb<strong>and</strong>salone decide how to spend their earnings.40 │ Characteristics of Respondents
