The practice of having multiple partners is more common among respondents who are in their twenties.Western province has the largest proportion (30 percent of men <strong>and</strong> 5 percent of women) who had multiplesexual partners. The proportion of respondents reporting multiple sexual partners varies significantlyamong provinces, with women <strong>and</strong> men in Western province much more likely to report such partnershipsthan those in other provinces. For both unmarried women <strong>and</strong> men, those with higher than secondaryeducation are less likely to report multiple sexual partners. The level of knowledge increases with increasing level of education. Knowledgeis also higher in urban than in rural areas. Variation by province <strong>and</strong> by marital status is less pronounced.Table 13.20 further shows that only 45 percent of women say they could get a condom if theywanted, compared with 72 percent of men.
