Men in sales <strong>and</strong> services <strong>and</strong> skilled manual occupations are least likely to make 10 or more tripsthat involve sleeping away from home, while those in professional/technical/managerial jobs are mostlikely to do so; 21 percent of men in professional/technical/managerial occupations made at least 10 suchtrips in the last 12 months compared with 5 percent of those working in sales <strong>and</strong> services <strong>and</strong> skilledmanual occupations. Men 20-49 years old are more likely to make 10 or more trips that involve sleepingaway from home compared with those under age 20 or age 50 <strong>and</strong> over.13.7.2 Alcohol ConsumptionAlcohol consumption can lead to drunkenness <strong>and</strong> sometimes uncontrolled sexual behaviour.During the survey, respondents were asked whether they had consumed alcohol <strong>and</strong>/or been drunk.Tables 13.12.1 <strong>and</strong> 13.12.2 show that 77 percent of women have never consumed a beverage containingalcohol, compared with 24 percent of men. Nine percent of women reported consuming alcohol inthe month prior to the survey, while 14 percent have consumed alcohol at some time but not in the pastmonth.
